I would easily go along with any of the prposed solutions as long as AGA interests were protected. I just don't care that much. At this point, I wouldn't waste much time on negotiating with Dave anyway. If he thinks we're too wishy-washy, just give him a simple, direct answer... "No". He doesn't have anything to bargain with here. If we could help him out, benefit his poor subscribers and benefit AGA, that would be great. If he's dead set on making sure that can't happen, it's not our problem. Eventually, after really ticking off his subscribers, one of several things will happen: * He might get sued, in which case, the more distance between him and us the better. * He can store all those back issues and try to sell them off one at a time himself. They will eventually get into the hands of aquarists who want them, and he'll have to work hard to make that happen. * He'll wise up and realize that AGA already has the distribution network to get those back issues into the hands of aquarist who want them, and he'll accept a reasonable offer for them. As far as I can see, until/unless he'll get reasonable, there isn't any reason for any of us to waste time and energy on the problem. At this point, I'd let him come to us.
