Some ideas

Please excuse my not having gotten back to you for such a long time, but I had lost and had trouble locating your email address, and the holidays, and some other business distractions. We at the Board of Directors level within the Aquatic Gardeners Association (AGA) have been talking about how we could deepen and formalize our relationship with Aqua Design Amano (ADA), and we have arrived at two areas.

TAG is published quarterly, and is distributed to all AGA members, which comes to just under 1,000 English-speaking aquatic plant enthusiasts all over the world. AGA would like to include, in every quarterly issue, a section devoted to ADA and the planted hobby in Japan. ADA would send to AGA 1 or 2 articles and accompanying photos every quarter. AGA will have these article translated into English, and run in TAG. In exchange for the articles, TAG will make available to ADA up to 2 pages of advertising in each issue at no charge.

AGA would like to make selected ADA products available to the hobby through AGA and TAG. We cannot buy in very large quantities, and we would need to be selective in terms of which products we could carry. We do not think it would be practicable for us to carry the substrates, tanks and other bulky/heavy products. Our thoughts are that we would start with the tools and tool sets. bacteria starter and other chemicals, CO2 systems and related products, and the fertilizers and plant tonics.

My wife, who is a licensed customer broker, is helping us with the logistics of handling the shipments. We need to know the size box for each product, and the quantity of products in each box and the weight and cost. If you would be so kind as to provide me with that information we can begin to talk in concrete terms about what AGA would be able to do to sell ADA products.

So -- we need to agree that what I described in #1 above is how we are going to proceed concerning ADA articles and ads in TAG.

For #2 above, please send me the list of how products are packed, weights, size of box and costs for the ADA products that AGA can sell.
