Reviewing the bidding

OK, looks like three of us are in favor of having James head the ministry
of solicitation if he would be willing.  Just to be sure, I will call for
votes.  Please vote YES or NO on Prop 02-03: Offer chair of new committee
for solicitng ventor support for all things AGA to James Purchase.  If
approved, I will e-mail him (and cc you in on it).  You realize that this
means he will be on the management committee list.  May need to sanitize
the archives, because of all the people I know, he's the one who actually
goes and reads the entire archive for 3 years back!

I meantioned Gomberg only in the context of "people who could pull it 
off".  I remember (from the AGA meeting) how violently opposed he was to 
actually doing the work.
