Ahem, may I take this opportunity to defend Enron?  ; )

Seriously, let's not the grumbles of a few discourage anyone.  Despite
all our past troubles, the vast majority of the feedback that I recieve
is positive.  I had someone actually call me yesterday to inquire about
something and he was bursting with excitement because he just got the
latest issue and loved it.  Even though I told him that due to the PAM
situation, his membership would be current until 2004 he still intends
to renew for another 3 years AND he said it would be fine with him if
we raise the price to cover the costs of color issues.

With regard to extending memberships due to the missing issue, I suggest
that we do it only when requested.  I have been slow to cancel 
memberships,
due to the erratic publishing schedule, and I would guess that a certain
number of members who were slow to renew have already gotten an issue for
which they have not paid.  Now that we are back on a regular schedule, 
I'm going to polish up the "delete" key and get to work weeding out the
database!
