small update

Just wanted to let you guys know that the membership coordinator job is 
now officially transferred to Cheryl Rogers, and the database is now 
online co-hosted with the AGA site (on a separate password-protected URL).

Good news:  We should no longer have problems where the complimentary 
copies are forgotten on the 2nd spreadsheet.  There is only ONE database 
now, and we can flag memberships as "Normal", "Business" and 
"Life/Complimentary".

So, the bad news: When I imported Jack's excel spreadsheet & converted it
into the database, I went through the list in Alphabetical order
(something which was not possible in its previous incarnation).  I caught
an additional 30 duplicate names.  This brought our current circulation to
702.

I also e-mailed Diana Walstad & asked if she has a full stock of the last
3 TAGs.  I am not sure if she's been mailed back issues in the last year,
so I wanted to make sure.  We should be selling these recent ones, between
the higher quality & the huge availability.

The contest ribbons arrived yesterday, so I'm putting together packets to 
mail to everyone.  I substituted two foreign subscriptions for the two 
winners out of the USA (bringing our circulation to 704).  Will mail 
invoice to David for mailing costs & ribbons.

I have not forgotten about the convention issue, though it sounds like
others have.  If I don't hear from anyone else, I will send a very blunt
letter to Charlene.  David, it sounds like you are not willing to do this
job, so if I am the one who has to do it, I will do it MY way, and it will 
probably cause lots of rifts as it usually does.
