Actually, I've been a bit active in the BAS (I'm still Treasurer). There is
a whole new batch of people running things, with Bill Mac and Chuck Fittz
still at the top -- but A;lan Ruben has gotten the Daphnian up and running
again, and Francisco is doing the membership, and it is pretty good. Can we
wait til the meeting at Karen's house in Feb???

BTW -- my comment above reminded me of a woman who used to work for me whose
favorite response to someone being a jerk, or to anything for that matter,
was "Oh well, every 100 years a whole new batch of people"
