Maybe Cheryl or you have an idea of how many folks are still paying by mail... then we can get an idea of how many memberships actually come in per month (something I currently have no idea of!).- Erik
At first we were getting quite a few each month, but over the summer mail-in registrations have slowed quite a bit. Until May, I was sending David checks every two weeks--now I am just sending them every month. I haven't been doing this long enough to know whether it is seasonal, but I suspect it is. I believe it will pick up this fall.
On the other hand, when I first stated this job in December 2002, I knew that Jack had not had time to send out renewal notices for quite a while. I sent lots of e-mails and postcards to folks who's memberships had expired back several issues, as I recall. (Since we hadn't been consistent with publishing TAG, it was hard for people to tell when to hit the panic button. I still think some folks don't believe me when I say they aren't going to get the next TAG! :-) )
Here is the breakdown of mail-in registrations by month, I hope: Dec 15 Jan 29 Feb 16 Mar 12 Apr 12 May 12 Jun 11 Jul 6 Aug 3 Sept 3 -- Cheryl Rogers, Membership Aquatic Gardeners Association http://www.aquatic-gardeners.org AGA International Aquascaping Contest is now open for submissions.
