We talked about that today, because she's a little down what with Kurt being gone from Ecosystem and them not having paid yet for their year of ads.. Something I told her that you guys should know too: The ACA/BB has seven paid ads at the moment. SEVEN. The last issue of TAG had eight. We are doing better than the ACA, with its seasoned veterans who've been "in" the industry. That's pretty darn cool. Yes, we'll probably be back down to six shortly, but then again Kathy's also talking to All Glass again. Another thing worth mentioning: Though our membership stats are hazy for stuff older than a year ago, I do know that the roster back when we assimilated PAM's subscriber list showed 600-650. When I took the database from Jack and prepared it for Cheryl, there were a ton of mistakes, such that even though we mailed 862 people issue #1, we immediately expired some 200+ members, many of whom should have been expired last year. I suspect that many of the 600 people as of January 2002 were probably also expired, and that our membership was more accurately about 500. So, I note that with everything all square, issue #2 was mailed to 776 people, and issue #3 to 841. Not bad, considering that Karen's playing catch-up with the issues, putting them out every 2 months instead of every 3...less time for people to renew. We have been building the membership back up with Cheryl's dilligence. I still think there's a chance we could get it up to 1000 (including the 23 comps) by the end of the year. We should probably look at those comps, btw. There are some that should probably be verified once a year. Not saying we should pull them, but just verify that they still should get them. Oh, and one last thing... Diana Walstad is coming to the convention. Most of you probably don't know that she was a little... shall I say... "negative" on the whole convention concept earlier this year, thinking it was a distraction from the "real" purposes of the AGA (though much like when Paul K talks like this, I don't really get what these "real" purposes are). Imagine my surprise to see her registration come through PayPal this week. She e-mailed and said she'd been turned around, was glad to see it coming together and bringing in money. - Erik -- Erik Olson erik at thekrib dot com ------------------ To unsubscribe from this list, e-mail majordomo@thekrib.com with "unsubscribe aga-sc" in the body of the message.
