Hi Cheryl:
Just wanted to say I had a great time at my first AGA. You're a great
one to
have as the Membership/Welcoming Chair! I hold this position for my
local
fish club (North Jersey), and I think I especially look to see how an
organization treats a newbie -- thanks so much for making me feel
welcomed and
comfortable!!

PS - I posed this question to Larry, but would like to get your
feedback as
well. I am always trying to get more women involved in this hobby in
general
(fish and/or plants). I had hoped that there would be more women
involved in
plants -- as you know there are really so few female fish keepers.
Any ideas
on how to reach/entice the women out there?? I've got to be part of a
very
rare coupling where the female is the addict and the man's (my
boyfriend) only
interest in fish is either salmon or tuna, grilled with sauce!! Other
than
"designer fish" can you think of a way to make it a chic hobby for the
"glamour
girls" out there?
