Hi Y'all:I hope everyone has had a couple good nights' sleep. I was very tired, brain-dead, and no good to anyone so I cut out a little early on Sunday. I can't believe Scott was actually still able to do math at that point!
I have sneakily recruited another worker gerbil (well, I did it in front of Erik so it wasn't that sneaky). Phil Edwards is always offering to do stuff, and at the convention I told him he was hired to do AGA publicity work.
I outlined some of my original ideas for online promotion, and touched on Karen's more broad-based "shotgun" one.
Naturally I didn't give him the entire job description, or he would have run away screaming.
He is starting online with attempting to get folks to correct dead links to the AGA, which should keep him busy for a while.
The promotion ideas are endless. I told him that, except for misrepresenting the AGA, there was little he could do wrong in this job, because *anything* is better than nothing. *Whatever* amount of time he could devote would be appreciated.
Please let me know what you anticipate as the potential pitfalls so I can educate Phil. Also any ideas you have for me to pass along would be great. I will be happy to act as liason between Phil and the Board, or not. Whatever.
