Re: AGA2K3 $ Info

I have an extra, unopened UV sterilizer that I haven't sent back to Big Al's yet. Cost me $70.

I would be willing to donate that. I got reimbursed for all my expenses without a whimper and I'm very happy about that.

I didn't personally take note of indivudial donated items
in either auction. And the systems we used didn't not
record donated items by description. I honestly don't know
what most of hte stuff went. An average price of over $25
for AGA sales inthe Live Auction say our stuff went pretty
well.

How about an aquarium and stand for 3rd places, the darn
things went for peanuts ;-) Just kidding.

Your sense about prize values is better than mine. What about a nice collection of PAMs for 3rd place. A book from inventory to 2nds, Gift cert to 1sts and Bests.
OR, their pick of one item from the lower shelf and Dallas
North Aquarium --- no, we'd be bankrupt for sure
afterwards.

OK, that seems very logical to me. A good swatch of
items we might have "swiped" might include books, magazine subscriptions, or small items. I'm thinking these went for around $20 average, not quite
retail, right?

Okay, how about let's look at it this way. If AGA2K3

had

given over items, the gross would have been diminished

by

that much and the net would have been reduced by the

same.
AGA gets half the net after $1,000 and we all know that

the

net was way over $1,000. So let's as AGA take at least

half

the dollar value of the prizes we didn't get and put

that

foward as prizes.

I mean it would have cost us that much if we got

prizes, so

let's at least go that far out of the AGA pocket.
