2 motions

1) I move that we formally form a Convention Committee. This is what has been going on de facto with eveything that Erik, Scott, Kathy, Cheryl and Karen did with this year's convention, but I think we should formalize it. The purpose would be to give continuity from AGA for the annual conventions. The Convention Committee chairperson could select folks to handle different jobs -- site selection, speakers, tours, auction, etc. and the local person in charge of something would have the AGA committee person as a resource, to help them do the job. The AGA committee might have folks with multiple functions.

The Chairperson would also oversee the financial aspects of the convention, and work closely with whoever was in charge of each convention's finances.

2) I move that if we adopt motion #1 above, that Scott Hieber be the chairman of the newly created Convention Committee. I have already run this by him, and he thinks it is a good idea, and he is willing to serve in this capacity, since he is pretty much already doing it. He wanted a 10% raise, but I beat him down to 5%.
