Just to put my two cents in -- 25 years ago I actually spoke Japanese, at least well enough to take my courses in literature and history for my MA in Japanese. I undersootd a little of what Amano was saying, and Tomoko was spectacular in how she handled things. There are different levels of speech in Japanese between men and women, and at first I was concerned by that -- but Tomoko really conveyed the nuances of Amano. I really hope she will do it for this time. David ----- Original Message ----- From: "S.
