Oh, I'm not saying it might snow -- I'm saying the financial risk could be that high. My only reason for bringing it up is the bearing it has on breakeven numbers. The less it matters, the more I think we should aim for large audience with reasonably low reg fee. Whether a sliding scale will save money depends on how the deal works. Last year the number of rooms was guaranteed but we had a sliding scale on services fees. Larry arranged instead of varying roomnights. --- Karen Randall <krandall@rdrcpa.biz> wrote: >> > > > The only way AGA is going to become financilally sound > is > > if the membership substantially increase and getting a > few > > thousand dollars from a convention doesn't do much. Yes, and if we can get folks in local clubs to get into AGA, then that might spread to other members. Some really big fish clubs (the NJ ones) have folks with plants but it doesn't seem to be a big deal and not many seem to be in AGA. > > Karen > > > ------------------ > To unsubscribe from this list, e-mail > majordomo@thekrib.com > with "unsubscribe aga-sc" in the body of the message. > Old messages are available at > http://lists.thekrib.com/aga-sc > When asked, log in as username is "aga-sc", and > password "incorp". > ===== S.
