Re: Question regarding preferences for hotel negotiations



Scott, is the "discounted" rate $89, or is that the "non-discounted" rate?  
$89 is affordable, and a reasonable thing for people to pay.  More than 
that (over $100) is going to be problematic.

I was first under the impression that you were asking if it's better to
try and get the room FURTHER discounted from $89, or reduce the rent on
the ballroom, but not both.  I think that $89 is an OK price to pay, and 
so further discounts off this are not important and would be better spent 
on the ballroom.

But if you're actually saying that to get the ballroom cheaper we'd have
to increase room prices to above $100, then this is clearly NOT acceptable
in my opinion.
