This has been an odd issue. I wouldn't be surprised if Rick said, "Well, if AGA wants him, then AGA has to pay him." As a matter of fact, he's suggested that already. Of course, we have an awful lot of leverage, at least until a hotel deal is signed. But I don't want it to reach that point, thus, my cry for help. Your comments helped me draft something that I sent to Rick. Like pointing out the long history and breadth of Ray's connections. I also pointed out that between now and mid October Ray will be at 22 different shows and conventions, where the market will be folks that *are willing to pay to go to a convention*. Even if those events average only 50 attendees each (again, conservative), that's over 1,100 hobbyists. These guys just don't have the convention savvy that Larry brought to the table last year. So we have to teach as we go. Larry's been a big help in this regard too. Hmmm, come to think of it, maybe we *should* pay Ray and then AGA takes all the revs from the sales and from the Reg fees of everyone Ray gets to go to the convention. ;-) -- just kidding, that would be a mare's nest of trouble. sh ===== S.
