Theoretically, you can get more attendees if you *don't* have membership requirements -- but you can get more members if you do. Generally, I thought we tried to focus more on the long term when it came to membership. If so, then that would point us towards AGA membership (it is an AGA annual convention, no? ;-) Last year AGA membership was required from the get-go, at least I recall talking about it as early as summer with Larry because we wondered what effect it might have on attnandance.
