We had talked about making membership in either DFWAPC *or* AGA a requirement for convention registration (kind of the way the ACA works its conventions). I don't know why it was dropped exactly, but had it gone through it would have been (a) a bookkeeping pain, and (b) somewhat of an imbalance because of the nearly-free membership fees for DFWAPC ($5). So we could also float the requirement of membership in either AGA or GWAPA as requirement. Or perhaps allow existing GWAPA members to attend, but non-members must join the AGA? - Erik On Fri, 5 Mar 2004, S.
