I suspect that after an initial surge, registrations are going to slow way down. Hopefully they will continue to trickle in over the next few months. But the fast response so far only means to me that these people were already waiting there, money in hand, for registrations to open up. Most of them are not only NOT new members, but they are people who have attended previous concentions. IOW, we're preaching to the choir. OTOH, I feel SLIGHTLY bad (not much, but slightly<g>) that in all likelihood, there are people who have not yet even seen the notice that registration is opne, who could miss their chance on the discount. I guess I could easily be convinced not to extend the discount at all. BUT if we did want to extend it, in the hopes of feeling a little MORE secure by getting the numbers as high as possible as early as possible, you could do a middle-of-the road thing, by extending it not by a certain number of people, but to a certain date. (say April 15, just for argument sake) I do think that one thing tha will happen once the discount period is over is taht people will have NO incentive to register early, and might, therefore wait until the last minute. Which probably isn't the end of the world... it has happened in the past. But it makes for more nervousness among convention planners.<g> Karen ----- Original Message ----- From: "S.
