Before, I think we bogged in the issue of whether there was pressing need or would be only be competing for an audience in an already tight market. The insurance issue came on top of that. I don't think we settled anything on the insurance issue -- for example we didn't seem to have any idea how much insurance would be a good amount to have -- because the market/demand issue seemed to pretty much sway us. Also working against the forums was the notion that to get enough good people to manage and maintain the thing, we'd probably be drawing from sites that wouldn't take kindly to it, possibly engendering division rather than greater community. Also J's apparent flakeiness didn't inspire confidence. I'm suggesting we at least look at whether other folks feel as strongly as those we've heard from. If there are enough people that feel very strongly about it, they'll be will to do as Cheryl has and offer to work on the project. On the risk side, AGA only has so much assets to lose and A.G.A. or A-G-A can always be incorporated the next day. Not an ideal resolution but it wouldn't be the end of the world for AGA. I think the bigger issue is the amount of assets the Board members have to lose and what it would cost to reasonably protect them. I don't like the complications but I like the idea of offering more product for members and/or the hobbyist community at large. sh --- Cheryl Rogers <cheryl@wilstream.com> wrote: > I understand.
