Re: [AGA SC] Another perspective on the AGA "Forum" proposal



The trouble is, that we have time to read things slowly and carefully before
printing them in TAG.  We also have the "out" of not accepting an article,
and just saying, "sorry, we don't have room", even if the real reason is
that we don't like the quality/content of an article.

Things move MUCH faster on a forum or mailing list.  I don't think you'd
have much traffic if every single message was sequestered to be checked by
staff before being released to the public.  That is, even if you have
someone willing to read and edit every post.  Then you also get into freedom
of speech issues, I would think.
