My first question to Rusty regarding insurance stuff for the ACA.... \ ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Mon, 12 Apr 2004 10:41:32 -0400 From: Rusty Wessel <rusty@cichlidae.com> To: Kathy Olson <kathy@thekrib.com> Subject: Re: ACA/AGA Insurance questions Kathy: First, most Homeowners policies provide liability coverage for"volunteer" activities as a covered peril (ex: fish club, Garden clubs etc.). However, some do not. ACA purchased coverage for Liability in the amount of 1,000,000 with a 2,000,000 aggregate and the policy is based on # of members. It basically covers the member and its officers for liabilty claims arising from their activities with the club, which includes monthly meetings, annual conventions, etc. NEC did use to have a policy but I understand it became a bit expensive. Actually, NEC contacted me recently but I have not provided them a quote yet.Not sure if I can because they want to include every club involved with the NEC and some of those clubs could spell trouble for the insurance carrier. I hope this helps.
