I'm not sure of the political history, here, but what do y'all think of the
"local chapter" of the AGA idea?

On Aug 7 sfbaaps will be having an event that hosts a
visit from Luis Navaro. I would be intrested in
promoting AGA membership at this meeting. Assuming you
have some sort of promotional packet, you can send it
to:

On a side note...
Back when sfbaaps began I advocated that we become a
local branch of the AGA. This never happened because
Dave Gomberg was more intrested in developing his own
prestige and showing up the AGA. Now that our
leadership has changed hands and PAM has failed it may
be a good time to readdress this issue. Can you ask
your fellow AGA board members their opinion of
association with local groups? and if they favor the
idea, could membership dues be reduced for persons
subscribing through local affiliated plant groups? It
is my opinion that the AGA is in a position to benefit
greatly from association with local plant groups. I
would work with my local plant group to make this
happen.
