Time to start making phone calls. Cheryl Erik Olson wrote:
Us too. Mailed the 16th. Kind of annoying, actually, as I got it AFTER other people were talking about how cool the issue was -- couldn't even update the website.- Erik On Sun, 20 Jun 2004, Karen Randall wrote:Hi Cheryl, Another tidbit of information you may find interesting... I received my bundle of TAG's on Friday... (still haven't rec'd the single copy I get for tracking purposes) and it came PRIORITY. Looks to me like she was hurrying to cover her behind. I took my recent envelope to the post office and they said it was standard bulk, not first class. So I researched all my e-mails back-and-forth with Robin of Complete Mail Services. I was crystal clear on my requests for three quotes that we wanted first class mail. I also remembered a phone conversation with her when the last TAG took so long, wherein I asked her bluntly if they had been sent first class, and she said yes. I went to her small office in the booming metropolis of Lake Dallas, TX (Home of "Roadies'"). Her first response was that she had been out of the office and her part-time help had inkjetted the envelopes. This I believe, because she was out of town just as the journals were ready. BUT it does not explain the last TAG. What I really think happened is that *she* made the "mistake" with TAG 17-1 and then her part-time help, instructed to do it just like last time, faithfully followed orders. Two other points leading to my suspicion: 1) She says she has a copy mailed to herself and didn't notice the postmark. Twice? 2) She has a postage account with the post office and also didn't notice that she had more money in it that was warranted for our mailing? Twice? Hmmmph. She has offered to make good on the difference. She is researching both TAGs and says she will get back to me no later than Monday afternoon. Depending on what she says and how I feel about it, I may just ask her to cut us a refund check and be done with her, or I may ask her to credit us for postage on next TAG's mailing. I am truly miffed. I hate it when I am responsible for something and it doesn't go well. I *really* hate being ripped off. -- Cheryl Rogers, Membership Aquatic Gardeners Association http://www.aquatic-gardeners.org ------------------ To unsubscribe from this list, e-mail majordomo@thekrib.com with "unsubscribe aga-sc" in the body of the message.
