Visiting folks was the best part of the of the ACA convention. 2nd best was watching Stalsberg consistently go back one slide before going forward. It was instant replay with stills!
Ah, I need to send you the raw footage from Tom Barr's talk in 2001. Tom kept hitting the reverse button on every slide. I will *not* be cleaning up Alf's talk the way I cleaned up Tom's. Still can't beleive he lugged those two heavy projectors and 700 slides across the Atlantic. Then insisting on controlling everything from the back of the room next to the projectors. But I learned my lesson from Christel's talk, and by having him wear the Backstreet Boyz mic, we didn't get much projector noise.
Hey, as long as I'm wasting everyone's time here, this nifty new mailing list software lets me review non-member postings (instead of merely returning them in that oh-so-useless bounce message), so I was able to let Larry's reply through, as well as grant any further posts from Larry to the board list. Tres cool! HOW many years ago should I have done this?
