I would be very interested in taking pictures, post editing and organizing AGA gallery. I'm not sure how you would want the gallery to be setup. Are you looking for 2nd party software-like setup or just regular .html pageswith Tables and images.

I would recommend Gallery Software but its your call. Not sure how you would want to handle FTP permissions, uploading and editing .html pages.
That's all just tech details that could be hammered out any way, but I think at this time since it's only once a year, if it's to the AGA site, perhaps just upload static html and image files. I only allow access via ssh, so no ftp, but for PC's you'd be able to use winscp. I do have PHP and MySql running on the site, but I'm always reuluctant to add yet more interactive content.
I know one can really go kinda nuts on this stuff. I actually wrote my own software to do this with my personal photos, complete with forum-like login, different privileges, ability to leave comments, highlight recent additions, view photos at different resolutions on the fly, arrange images into a "show", etc... all backed by MySQL and written entirely in C. I actually used that program to export the last couple years' "shows" to static html and jpegs. The Aquascaping Contest is sort of a souped-up gallery program too, with even more authentication, online judging, etc.
Perhaps initially we start simple and adjust as time goes on.
As for as recognition, I guess you could add me to the following list http://www.aquatic-gardeners.org/info.html (Committee Chairs Not Mentioned Elsewhere). Maybe one of those Convention IDs (color IDs they had in Dallas) - Photographer would be nice. Thats about it. Its all non-profit and part of the hobby.
OK, that's a possibility. Might make more sense to see it on the convention page, to the right of the "Gallery" info (so for instance on the current page, it would appear as a green box "Convention Photographer" between the Kent Marine logo and the Convention Videos box. Actually more people would see it there than in the "Other" section.
I'll run your message, including this part, by the rest of the board. It sounds pretty good to me -- we could sure use the help!
