Hi Y'all:As I mentioned more or less in passing at Ghazanfar's house, James Elliot of Eagle Press warned me that the price of printing TAG was going to go up in the coming year. It's not that bad, really; only about $200 more per issue.
Here's an official quote per 1000 copies: $2500.00 insides $400.00 coverHe also suggested that we think about converting TAG to a "regular" magazine size. He says we can sell more advertising space more efficiently, add pages more conveniently, and that he doesn't think postage would be that much more. I'm not sure about that last one, but I can look in to it if we are truly interested.
I am interested in exploring the cost, unless someone comes up with a downside. My reasons:
1. I have lately felt constrained in layout. Many of these tank shots would be better if hey could be bigger.
2. Karen ALWAYS gives me too much stuff. :-) Gosh, I haven't devoted an entire page to the AGA logo in just AGES!
3. Tomoko says she MIGHT have a deal with Amano's Aquajournal to publish in English. I think that we could lose a customer base if we're not careful.
