I also got a very positive response from the folks at the Minnesota A.S. last weekend. (I think you'll be seeing an influx of new members from there in the next few weeks too) In fact, the fellow who was my host on Friday said that he had joined back, um...well, let's say around 4 years ago. He said he had finally written a fairly (in his words) nasty letter about the fact that he'd paid his dues, and hadn't received ANYTHING in 6 months. He said he didn't plan to renew after his first experience, but even when he DIDN'T renew, the mags kept coming. Then when TAG went to color (became more "professional" in his terms) and started coming regularly, he got to really like it, and has been a member ever since. He is now at the Grand Master Aquatic Horticulturalist level in his club, and has the most impressive planted tank fish room I've ever seen. He says he owes a lot of his knowledge to the AGA. He has an 800 Gal. home-made tank that his 18 full-grown Altums get lost in. He's gonna write an article for me. ;-) So, much as I'd like EVERYONE to like us, and much as the folks on Aquabotanic and now APC bug me, I think we have more people saying "yay" than "nay". Not to bug you, but have you found out about the page number issue? How many pages could we do at the larger size without substantially increasing our cost? I was kind of feeling what 30 pages felt like in the larger format, and I think 30 pages would be OK. A little thin, but worth the trade off, and something to build on. If we ended up with only 20, though, I think we're better off where we are. I also don't quite understand whey that would mean he'd use less plates (and have to change less plates) Aren't both sizes printed on the same size paper?
