The only reason for splitting the amount was that we don't
really know what happened with the books. However, since he
doesn't have them, I am comfortable with the view that they
must have been sold.
The additional reasons you give add even more reason to
send all $400 -- I assume by mug shot, you are referring to
Cheryl and not me -- after all, the AJ does have an
aesthetic reputation to maintain ;-)
