My biggest concern is who is going to ru the show and keep
all the details in order. Of all the things Tom is, a
detail man he ain't. My though in this particular case is
to let him and the rest of his co-planners see how much we
expect in case that gives them second thoughts.

If this isn't going to bring us a good convention, I'd
rather end it very early than later.  If later, I'm afraid
we will basically have closed off any other options, scared
off any other clubs, moved too far into the calendar year
to get a convention off the ground.

A guy comes to me that wants to borrow money and I know he
has a history of not paying. First thing, while I check his
credit, I want him to know how big the payments are going
to be. Checking his creidt is worthwhile to start but there
might be no need to finish it.
