Well, your workload instantly doubles, but other than that, it won't have much effect. You just need to write to every single member, past and present, and tell them the good news. And then when they ask if what they spent on AGA is deductdible on *their* income taxes, just say, "Well, we'd like to know and eventually we will." Oh, and this needs to be done by Friday noon. Thanks. Other than that, to sum up again for those interested: The AGA won't have to pay Federal income tax on it's earnings, which, given all the net rev since 2001, plus penalties and interest, could have added up to, oh, bankruptcy. AGA has already been recognized as tax-exempt by the state in which it is incorporated (it's home state -- home town=Holliston). So this is a big load off of our plate. But the plate is pretty much the smae otherwise. sh --- Cheryl Rogers <cheryl@wilstream.com> wrote: > How does this new status affect our day-to-day business? > _______________________________________________ AGA-sc mailing list AGA-sc@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/aga-sc
