I don't think he was aiming at anyone in particular, just trying in his own way to encourage some appearances. I thought the announcement was kind of negative -- here's a chance to fix what's wrong with the AGA. Not the "spin," if you'll pardon the expression, that I would have given it. I would have tried to put it all in positive expression -- here's a chance to participate and help AGA to be . . . So, I would have liked for the group to have a chance to comment on the text before it was posted. **Otoh**, if we don't give volunteers some room to exercise their volition, that can be discouraging. So, I try to keep that in mind and keep my own apparently endless font of criticism at least somewhat in check...
