I don't have a problem opening it up for a beta test
prior to the formal forum opening, but I think this is
going to have to come from Phil.
In my opinion we need to let the Forum and it's
leadership steer the direction unless it needs some
pushing. Rather than a unified board directive like
how much we are spending on the software which is
contained in the original proposal this idea is really
not covered. Therefore I think this suggestion should
come from the individuals, ie. Cheryl and Scott so
that the Forum leadership can decide.
I realize it's a fine line but I think we need to let
the forum become its own entity at least to a degree
and the board (Not board members) should only be
involved when needed. The individual board members of
course should have as much input as they feel
warranted.
Just my thoughts....

they aren't likely to post a lot of really horrible,

And they are a pretty active group. Do we have any
party
favors to offer?

How about, since they know about it anyway, a few
days
before the
official opening of the forums, we invite SFBAAPS
for a
Sneak Preview
Party? Say on a weekday night, everybody come,
check it
out, make
suggestions, etc.
Make their "mistake" into an invitation to a
special
event....
