Re: [AGA-sc] Claus

I should clarify... I will be at AGA2006. Kathy will surely be there too, as we've discovered the magic of multi-day babysitters. But maybe we'll have the kids with us. Well, that is, if the hotel's four star. Never can be too picky about the hotel, you know...

Oh, we tried at ACA. Even with Kathy's sister along
babysitting, all she
got to do was go to the banquet, and I was totally
unavailable for helping
out. Small kids and Fish Conventions just don't mix. Or
should I say,
"two small kids, 80 pounds of A/V gear, a Fish
Convention, and only two
parents, just don't mix". We're leaving the kids at home
next time. Best
we can do is photos for now (see attachments).

MAYBE we can do AGA2006, if we drive down and can
convince relatives to
drive up to the Bay Area and help out.

Ok, NOW you're gonna make me pout. :-( That makes two

kids are going to be in college before I meet them!

I'll be up that way about that time. I might even be
taping
NEC again, unless Erik plans to attend.

Kingfish had some grand scheme he was trying to get
NEC to do, something of
a "Geezers of the Hobby Extravaganza", and (kindly) he
actually had me
written into the contract as a videographer. As I
haven't heard a word on
this, I'm assuming it isn't happening. But you never
know.

We're already committed to ACA 2006 (the guy running
it's going to bribe me
with a full complement of the latest Adobe software,
so good for the AGA
too!). So probably not going to be at NEC next year.

PS: Whenever I worry that the AGA's site is too
old-fashioned and
out-of-date, I pop on over to the NEC website. From
its pointless
un-bypassable Flash introduction (unless you have
flash installed), to the
utter difficulty of finding useful information (hey,
they have the date
this year, that's good!)...
