Official Motion to reduce inventory of PAMs
1. Send Mike Hellweg 100 PAMs (with flyers) to give away at his talks.
Mike should make sure that everyone gets on instead of just folks who
want one. Teehee.
2. Send 500 PAMs with flyers to Greg Watson for inclusion in his orders.
Each will have a sticker on the back that says:

magazine – forum – convention – aquascaping contest – bookstore”
3. Ask Jen Ford to search the web for promotional opportunities.
Meetings, conventions, exhibits, speakers. She reports to us and we send
PAMs as well as other promotional materials as appropriate.
4(a). Sale on PAMs 50% off until April 30, 2006.Re-evaluate at that time
to determine whether to extend the sale as is or change to
(b). PAM Combo Sale: Buy 1, Get 1 Free.
I figured out the cost of shipping the old-fashioned way: I took PAMs to
the post office and weighed them with an envelope.
1 PAM $1.11
2 PAMs $1.83
3 PAMs $2.55
4 PAMs $3.27
5 PAMs $4.05 (priority)
When calculating profit on a per each basis and comparing (a) with (b),
the difference is, in my opinion, negligible. Something on the order of
$0.24. Certainly shipping more than one PAM per envelope is more
cost-effective, but selling a single PAM at 50% off still nets us $1.79
in profit.
