Re: [AGA-sc] Re: When the contract is signed

I strongly suggest mentioning Monterey Aquarium as an "area attraction" and let those who want to go plan extra time into their stay so they can do it on their own. The locals can go any time they want, a number of us from other areas have been there, like it, but won't want to add the travel time onto an already busy weekend, and others, (those who are primarily interested in the planted tank part of the hobby) just won't be that interested in it. I think the likelihood of getting enough people to make THAT field trip break even ( or even come close) is very slim.

yea, I got the same conclusion from playing with your
numbers from a few days ago.

I really don't know about the field trip. I can't see
many people forking out $51 for a field trip plus a 4
hour bus ride. I guess if they had some skins in the
game we could risk it but the SFBAAS folks are playing
with our money.

Either way we just need to come to a conclusion on
this and the speakers we need to get the announcements
out.

Okay then, I'm issuing a check for $500 to the hotel
(to the attn: Molly Dignan).

We're in. Now if we could just settle the that darn
Field Trip.

Btw, I've played with the numbers lots of ways and
it always turns out that we need about 70-80 to
breakeven. That's with a Reg Fee of $59, Banq of
$39.80, and Field Trip of $29.
