Re: [AGA-sc] Foreign vs US Memberships

This is only a 1st draft and maybe I flubbed a cell reference but I come up
with diff numbers than my esteemed colleague across the river, Mississippi,
that is. However, the overall results are not drastically diff. The attached
spreadsheet shows what I came up with, starting with CR's numbers and making
such changes as I thought appropriate and noting the major assumptions.

I'm not sure how the $800 per year number was derived since both memberships
and combos are proposed to be reduced and I don't know those numbers even if I
assume there is no change in demand due to changes in pricing.

Nonethless, I think the foreign members are subsidizing the locals, on whom we
probably just about break even on memberships or maybe a bit worse.

I am still in favor of lowering foreign rates along the lines Cheryl proposes,
or something close and I would consider a small hike in the local price of
maybe a half buck or a buck.

It's been a few years since we increased, hasn't it?

Besides, at a time when so mainly stoutly patritotic Americans are screaming
their bloody heads off about the damn foreigners, I can think of no finer irony
than to make things a little more fair and less in favor of the locals.

Irish need not apply, ;-)
