Anyway, it sounds like we have our "Kruschev letter", that is, it sounds like 
we can all accept him backing off without anyone feeling seriously jilted -- 
not the right word, but you know what I mean.

Yes.  I think Ray can pick and choose what he wants a bit more than he 
lets on (as do we all, I suppose).  By all means April should have been 
too late to have booked him for November anyway.  What I got from the 
conversation with him was that he thought it would be a good perk for HIM, 
because SF is home to San Francisco Bay Brand, one of his big sponsors, 
and he could take time to visit them.  So perhaps he either quickly forgot 
about our passing conversation, or decided it'd be better not to go...or, 
he might have been getting pissy about me not being done with his video 
yet. :)

In either case, whew!  I think this will be less hassle for a convention 
in which we could use less hassle.
