[AGA-sc] Luis

I just heard the wildest story from Luis Navarro.

Apparantly Luis Navarro's mother was kidnapped in Mexico where she 
lives. His family had to sell most of their stuff (real estate, 
businesses, houses, buildings) to pay the ransom. She is home now and 
doing alright, although of course she is traumatized.

He says that though they are doing all right for day-to-day living, 
there will not be any extra money for the AGA convention and that this 
is the first year he will miss it. Luis loves SF and sfbaaps once paid 
him to come aquascape for their club, so I know they are fond of him also.

Having heard this story, naturally I called Ricky next. He and Ben want 
to make sure Luis gets to AGA. Ben is going to sell plants to raise 
money for airfare. Ricky is willing to give up his free registration and 
whatever other perks go with being a speaker. He will pay for himself 
when he gets back from Japan. He will even work it out with Luis so that 
their talk is a joint presentation, with Ricky showing slides and Luis 
doing the actual aquascaping or something like that.

I wanted to bounce this idea off y'all first. What do you think?
