You're doing an excellent job hosting the convention. 

SF should be jealous that you are doing more than their whole club.  SF will 
undoubtedly be a bit perturbed that AGA didn't do more to support the Iron 
Aquascaper, like pay royalties for stealing the copyrighted name -- hey, if it 
was a Disney property, you can bet your but they'd sue --  or going to vendors 
for free stuff.  If SF wanted vendor donations, they had well over two years to 
get their act together and get just one or two people working on it over a 
period of a few months.

The latest list of volunteers from SFBAAPS.

Since we've got the T-shirt thing figured out (didn't want to distract 
from the core weighing in on this), I can also mention that Jim asked if 
we could get companies to sponsor the goods for the Iron Aquascaper event. 
After quietly surpressing the spit take I was doing with my soda, I said I 
would ASK but that all the sponsorship letters and calls were done a month 
ago.  I also suggested maybe they could get Aqua Forest to donate a bag of 
substrate and SFBAAPS folks to donate the plants and three small tanks.

It may be me and my really crappy mood I'm in right now, but Jim didn't 
seem quite so happy and enthusiastic as in former phone calls.

I am sorry, by the way, for said crappy attitude in last 24 hours, 
especially to Kathy who has been getting the brunt of it.  I am clearly 
way too deep in this stuff to stand back and view things calmly and 
objectively.  I will endevour to do better today.
