How
about everybody votes for 6, 9, or 12 months. We take the one with the most
votes and go that way. If that's less than 12 months then the remainder of the
$1800 stays in AGA2K6 and is disbursed between the AGA and SFBAAPS
according?
I move
we distribute the liquidated damages from the hotel to the 92 relevent
convention-attendees per Cheryl's list as a 6, 9, or 12 month extension
of their membership, whichever number of months recieves the most aye
votes.

I think one could reasonably say that anything we
did for AGA as a whole should essentially be a benefit to the members.
We could even hold the whole $1,800 toward bring in an extra, spiffy speaker
for the next convention. I don't really care that much, so I'll let
those who do decide.<g>

Here
we have a very distinct amount, a precise value because Larry
negotiated with the hotel to arrive at a distinct figure -- that's
the essence liquidated damages, a specific amount of money (the
liquidity) agreed to as full rememdy for damage that cannot be easily
valuated or remedied by specific performance.
It's
reasonably clear who was harmed. So, it's a matter of moving the
value of the remedy to those harmed, which I guess is where we're at.
