Good news on the the A/V. It looked to me like Michael was getting some very good shots during IA. I hope IA doesn't come after us on copyright infringement the way ASCAP could if we used any of its music ;-)

I don't know how Larry got the settlement. It would be one thing to negotiate something substantial on the front end (like the sliding scale, etc.), but to get such a sizeable amount on the back end, well, it impresses the hell out of me.

Okay, I'm going to do a 13th version of the report, the last version. I'm going to pull the settlement, which, btw, makes the report much simpler with fewer tables and charts to update. I'll email a pdf for the archives before your turkeys are ready for sanwiches.

I am cool with that.  Earmarked for extra speaker budget.  And credited to
Larry's hard work.  Left out of AGA2k6 entirely.
I can see the point of view: By splitting it up amongst all the
individuals, it's like a class-action lawsuit.  Nobody gets very much
individually.  But if kept as a single fund, it brings in something
significant that everyone at the next convention can enjoy.   Yeah, I do
like that.
(Add to that, I am still a little disappointed that we didn't bring in Dr.
Tan the moss guy -- it was one of only around two areas I disagreed with
the rest of you guys and actually fought for the SFBAAPS proposal.  I
don't think even Jim knows this.  When we announce the official numbers to
Jim and SFBAAPS, I will include a note saying I hope they use their share
of the income to bring Dr. Tan over, and please let me know so I can

decide whether I want to come down and see the talk!)

PS: Ricky and Dr. George now done with editing.  Just Ole and IA to do.
IA may end up being a pain, but results may be quite fun.  I'm looking at
purchasing some royalty-free music to include during the 5-minute
"scaping" scene, so it ends up looking like a music video. :)
