My name is Dido, Plamen is a good friend of mine and he authorized me
to answer you.
There is no problem in using his photo at all but Plamen has the
following - I think quite minor - conditions.

First a copyright holder should be be provided on the picture - for
e.g. -  "(C) 2006 Plamen Petrov, AGA winner '2006"

Second, Plamen insist for a free-of-charge copy of your e-book
personally for him - he wants to see what's that all about :-), I hope
it won't be a problem regarding the situation...

And third - the obligation to have a beer some day with you if you meet
each other someday,  and sorry for the worries ...
