Several points before your guns goes off without complete retraction of the lock and strike mechanism:

Who said we had no volunteers? I don't recall anyone saying that! I said we didn't have enough and nothing could be clearer than that fact.

Forums are supposed to be for discussion and I had not heard that we were keeping any secrets. For all I know some one or two of the Board members are going to pull off a convention; but I don't see it happening and said so.

Not only do we each represent the AGA but the AGA also represents us. Let's face it. Folks wanted to know what we knew -- it's summer, they want to make plans, they've got families, blah blah -- no point in stringing them along.

One last point. What will we have that will enable us to do 2008 that we didn't have in 2007? Answer: nothing, so far.

Okay, I'll bite.

I would have preferred that the first announcement about no convention
this year been made more formally. And I don't think it's fair to shout,
"No volunteers!" when we haven't asked for volunteers on this project.

I think that when we are on the forums we represent the BOD whether we
want to or not; we really don't have a choice about that because we
can't control how people view us.

On the Other Hand, I wish that we had made a formal announcement WAY
before folks started asking questions. I don't see the point in having
concrete plans for 2008 before we announce the non-plan for 2007.

On the Other Other Hand, I wish that we had not assured everyone that we
were going to have a convention in 2007, and then reneged, and then act
like it's their fault.
