Well, I think I found out some interesting info today. First we were correct in our earlier supposition about the second week in Nov not being a low booking weekend for the local hotels. Turns out there are several conventions filling up all the downtown hotels. An opthamology and then another CME type convention. So I gave them two alternate weekends that Cheryl and I came up with, October 16-19 and October 23-26th. The latter seems to be the best of the three but the hotels just are not very eager to deal. The hotel business in Atlanta seems to be active during October and November sae Halloween weekend which is out for us and the time between Thanksgiving and New Years which is also out for us based on previous discussions. I am waiting on two proposals on Monday (Hilton and Sheraton DOwntown) both are as I mentioned about 6 blocks from the Aquarium, but I expect both to be between 129-159 per night! I guess we will see for sure on Monday. Regards, Larry --- Erik Olson <erik@thekrib.com> wrote: > Ouch that's a bit of a drive. Thanks for putting it > in perspective.
