Re: [AGA-sc] AGA2008 - CONTRACT

"Insurance? We ain't got no Insurance. We don't need no Insurance. We don't have to show any stinking Insurance!"

We've never shown it because we don't have it. What they would be looking for is liability insurance that could provide some assurance that they could be paid  or saved harmless in the event AGA is responsible for any damage to person or property.

Where I work we insist that tenants and contractors take out policies that name us as the insured party. Compared to that, Sheraton is tame. Nonetheless, we've never had to do this before. And we haven't factored in any insurance costs. We've promised to make them harmless, that should be enough. We can show them our assets (i.e., bank account if they want to some assurance but I think we should resist on this one. It's not like we're going to put hundreds of glass boxes in a room and fill them water then stick electrical wires in them.

Ya know, I left the Force Majeure section untouched
because I thought that we were covered under the
"Government Authority" but I almost made the change as
you did so let's go with it.

My only other question was why did we strike the
Insurance Clause. Don't we usually provide proof of
Insurance? On second thought I am not sure that we
have before, hmmmm...

By the way great job on the preliminary numbers
work-up. Can't think of any changes to your estimated
costs. They are about as accurate a guestimation as we
can get for now, thanks!!!!!

Larry
