Hey Y'all, Now that I have been mostly responsible for TAG for over a year, I hope that the AGA BOD thinks I have been doing a good job. I couldn't have done it without Karen's help, but gradually I am finding my own way. TAG 21-1 will be GREAT! However, I am more aware than ever of how much of my time is spent on the Journal. I spend on average 80 hours on TAG each issue, not counting membership, other publications, and convention stuff. I receive $600 per issue for editing and laying out TAG. This rate was established in 2001. I was not on the BOD then, so I'm not entirely sure of the history here. The archives contain a motion to pay the Editor $650 per issue, which passed, but I have only been invoicing the AGA for $600 because that is the number I got from Karen. Whatever -- I'm NOT requesting back pay. Just noting the history. I am requesting a pay raise from the Board effective TAG 21-1. I will be so bold as to suggest $720 per issue based on cost of living increases. I remain dedicated to making TAG better and better with each issue. I am ALWAYS eager to hear suggestions and criticism to this end. Naturally I will abstain from voting on this issue.
