Regarding lighting: I'm trying to set up a nice tank for my living room, something that my wife will not object to seeing. Therefore I need some good lighting, better than the crappy perfecto hood I've got now, for my 25gal tank. (the top measures 12"x24".) It can't just be a shop-lite hung from the ceiling, unfortunately. Does anyone have any recommendations for what to use? I think I'd like to use a couple of 24" T12 bulbs to get the light all the way down in that deep tank, but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for it. If anyone has any suggestions for brands/suppliers of manufactured hoods I'd appreciate it. I'm not really into making my own, but if that's the only way, then I'll do it. Thanks. They just melt into the plants if they want a little cover. The myth that Apistos hate bright lights is not always true. I've found in some really heavily planted tanks the fish did really well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the apistogramma mailing list, apisto@listbox.com.
