Hello Kristo Depending on the species of apistos you want to keep, would depend on whether you would want pairs or small groups. I presently keep Apisto Bitaeniata, Apisto Cruzi, Apisto sp Puerto Narino, Apisto Borelli and Apisto Cacatuoides in either trios or small groups. I also have better luck with some species in just pairs like; Panduro, Nijsenni, Viejita ll, Hongsloi ll and Steindachneri. Then my Aggies, Norberti and Eunotus do well in either pairs or small groups or trios. Basically you have to find a feel for what will work for you. If I were you I would try a trio to start with and if you find that doesn't work remove one of the females. Just don't try two males in the same tank. I have not had good luck in those cases where I had 2 adult males in the same tank. They never seemed interested in spawning only displaying in front of or chasing the other male away. Which ever way you choose, enjoy your fish. John Wubbolt ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the apistogramma mailing list, apisto@listbox.com.
