I don't know Ken but I have never seen any whitish eggs from apistos that were any good at all. I have been told that the more live brine and meaty foods fed them, the eggs will be a brilliant blood red. I just had a spawn of "Rio Mamore" and the eggs were pinkish and in two days they were gone. This female usually has red eggs and fry with no problems. I can see up under all my tanks just to keep track of what color the eggs are. Yes; 74 tanks and NO gravel or substrate!
